The Center for Women’s and Children’s Health is the latest addition to the Christiana Care Hospital System. The new building opened its doors to expectant mothers and their families in June of 2020. This state-of-the-art facility includes a comfortable labor lounge, spacious private NICU rooms and couplet care rooms with sleep-in accommodations for families. Each of the 286 patient rooms is finished with Suburban’s porcelain tile and glass mosaic accents with metal edge trim. The elevator lobbies feature our neutral-toned stacked-stone walls. The colors and shapes in the hospital were designed to match those seen at the nearby Delaware Estuary, connecting Christiana Care with the theme of life, nature, joy and healing.
